I haven't posted a theory in FOREVER.
So here's two.

1. The Good Guy worked for the agency at one point.
He said, "Things haven't changed," which implies that he was there sometime. Otherwise, how would he know things had changed? Starcorp isn't very organized, so it's doubtful that one of the agents reported to him or something.

2. James is part of a third-party organization trying to protect Ethan. I mean, he fought off a flipping bear. You know Ethan never could have done that. And I doubt it's a fight-or-flight thing. He must have been trained.

I find it funny that not even the writers think this deeply about their work, and then here I am reading into everything.

I agree with the whole Good Guy thing. The phrase, "Things haven't changed", was one of those obvious clues that he knows a lot about how it was in the past. To me, it sounded like he worked for them a long, long time ago, and then rebelled. Whenever I listen to these episodes, I always think of The Agency as angels serving under Michael, the archangel, and Starcorp as demons, serving under the Devil.

To me, the phrase "Things haven't changed" means that he knows the inner-workings of The Agency. He knows who everything goes, and how the "game" is played. So this makes me believe he was a top notch guy for The Agency and he knows "to much" about The Agency, which could have caused him to be kicked out, leading to him leading a life of revenge against The Agency!

Just a theory.

Kevin. You could just change the whole story line to match poeple's theorys like wooton was going to do when harlow made powerboy promises. Now that would be a funny show.

Oh gosh...I'm just trying to imagine it.... O.o Just as a joke episode? It could be awful production or whatever, just take all of our theories and wreck havek with them.
